Why did Leopardstar agree to create TigerClan?

Leopardstar was a long time leader of RiverClan, and was one of the longest to live as a leader when you exclude Firestar. But she teamed up with Tigerstar to create TigerClan, but why? Did she do this for the betterment of her clan or fell head over heels for Tigerstar's muscle and charm? It kind of points on either paths. Tigerstar's deputy kills Leopardstar's deputy for being half clan and the clan was named after Tigerstar so of course nothing had anything to do with Leopardstar and she would have soon be obsolete. But was she just too blind in her lust and love to see it? Or, she saw this and planned to secretly keep quiet but control Tigerstar if she just waited and be patient? Or it could've been that it was just bad writing and the Erin's didn't think of the correct plot to make Leopardstar's decision make sense? I want to see your guys opinions on it and debate the discussion.

Maybe she understood how evil he was, and knew she was safer pretending to team up with him?

I feel like she might have felt some sort of feelings towards Tigerstar, or she was just plain scared. She didn't know what would happen to her and her clan if she wasn't on Tigerstar's side so to protect them she allied, but when her deputy was killed she then became even more frightened of what would happen if they tried to leave the alliance.

At the time she was young and a new leader. Crookedstar died in A Dangerous Path - just a book before TigerClan was formed. TigerClan also wasn't named after Tigerstar; it was named after one of the three mythological Great Clans.

According to Vicky, "Leopardstar was afraid of Tigerstar - but also in love with him, poor thing". They also indicated she was prideful-- to the point where she refused to break her agreement with him even when her Clanmates were being threatened with death and her deputy was murdered. In Cats of the Clans (as shown on the Warriors Wiki (http://warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Leopardstar)), it's stated she's fearful and suspicious of half-Clan cats, and that she wasn't afraid of Tigerstar, but of her Clan losing their respect for her. It also says she wasn't aware Tigerstar was going to kill them, she was under the impression they'd be exiled, and while she would have protested Stonefur's death, she didn't because her "ambition clouded her judgment".
While she may have initially thought joining TigerClan was the best for her Clan (would make it stronger), she came to realize her mistake after Tigerstar began to control both the Clans, and regretted it for the rest of her life.

It's confirmed that LeopardStar agreed to Make TigerClan because she was in love with TigerStar and wanted to be his mate.
