Jason sat outside of the hospital room, shaking slightly and praying that his girlfriend would be alright. His heart pounded in his chest, and he closed his eyes. He didn't mean to get her pregnant... he truly didnt. But he did, and now she was giving birth. The father wasn't allowed in the room, and it took all of the staffs worth to keep him out. His girlfriend had been in labor for over a day. He was exhasuted, but he stayed awake. The screams from the room made him cringe, and he let out a shaky breath. Then, the most beautiful sound he'd ever heard rang out through the room. The baby cried loudly and he burst into the room, looking at the bloody Rose in the hospital bed. She was limp, exhausted and weak.... he looked at the baby and watched them clean it off, then wrap it in a blanket and set it in the incubator to warm them up. Jason rushed over to Rose, placing his hand on her arm. "Rose! Rose, look, it's me! I'm here for you... you had him! It's a baby boy, our baby boy! He's ours...." Rose looked at him weakly, breathing slowly. She made a sound of slight pain, and the doctor brought the baby over. Jason held the warm bundle of joy in his arms, and looked at Rose again. "Look, honey, it's him... see? He's right here. Look, touch his little cheek! He's so warm and cute.." he gently grabbed her hand and placed it on the side of the baby's face, and she smiled softly. Jason nodded and smiled back at her. Her heart rate began to drop, and Jason's legs started shaking. "Rose... Rose, look at me.." he pleaded, tightly holding her hand in his. "Rose...!" Tears built up in his eyes and the baby stirred in his arms. Rose looked at him one last time, smiling, then her heart stopped and she went completely limp. Her hand fell from his and her head tilted to the side. "Rose...? Rose! Please, wake up! You have to be here for him! Your his mother! You can't leave me and the baby!" He yelled, the tears streaming down his face. Rose didn't move, and he was quietly and gently ushered out of the room. Jason geld his child close to his chest, shaking and sobbing. "No.... No... that... that never happened... this is just... just a dream.." he whimpered. The baby stirred again and looked up at him, clinging to his shirt.



Jason drove home with the baby, holding him close and making sure that he wouldn't get hurt. As he pulled into the driveway to his house, he thought about Rose and a few more tears slid down his face. He looked down at his baby and frowned, then got out of the car and went into his house, where he set the baby in his crib.

Sparrow bit his lip as he and his sister walked through the wood behind their house. He was always nervous and the fact he had agreed to go Falconing with her made him even more frightened. Olive obviously loved this as one of her falcons, Talon, on of her largest falcons, perched on her covered arm. As reached the empty clearing Sparrow took the red book that he had hidden in his jacket out and sat on a log watching as Talon crouched and leaped into the air his eyes trained on the piece of meat Olive had just tossed into the air. Opening the book Sparrow looked through it, this was her favorite book; since it was about finding the perfect match. Even so Sparrow knew that there wouldn't be a girl and especially a boy who would like him. Olive suddenly looked towards him and Taking suddenly landed next to him chewing on some meat before letting out a screech in his ear startling Sparrow and making his book fly out of his hands in front of his sister. Olive took the book and stared at it in disbelief,"Sparrow! Why are you reading this?" Sparrow ducked his head ashamed,"I-I wanted to learn how to find someone that loves me." He stammered covering his face with his hands and muddling his words. Olive shrugged,"Whatever." She tossed the book at her brother who stubbled and caught it.

Jason fed his baby, then gently lulled him to sleep. He smiled softly as he curled up in the blankets and pillows, chest moving up and down rhythmically. Jason kissed his head and got in the car after leaving a soft light on and closing the main lights off. "I wonder... what I'm going to have to name him.." He whispered as he drove to school.


Jason sat in the cafeteria, trying to eat his food. He walked out, passing Parker and his friends on the way out. Heading to the bathroom, he placed his elbows on the rim of the sink and stared into the mirror. "I'll name him... Jackson." He decided, smiling to himself and fixing his ruffled up hair.
