Hi, I'm Ainalani! I'm from the outskirts, places where there the poorer people live. I've read books, and they're usually fantasy.
Their about things like this. Except this is real. This is like the Fringe (Divergent) or the Outer Rings (Children of Eden). It's not that bad. Until the Peaks come. The Peaks are the richer. They kidnap the younger kids, and then raise them as Peaks. I almost was, and then I was sent away. I'm not allowed in the village anymore, and I live in a small camp for escaped children. They elders that live with us say they want us because we're special. We can talk to the bestials that live on this planet, and we transform into them too. That is why we're hunted.
That is why we are hidden.

Ron looked around the trees for a moment more and nodded to himself, walking out the door with determination. He would get his adoptive sister's doll back. Even if he had to go ino the forest where all the bestials lurked.

He tripped over a rock hidden in the leaves and cursed. "COME ON!!" he yelled, clutching his knee. It was starting to bleed, so he wiped his hand across it, staring around the trees around him. "Stupid Bestials. Stupid trees. STUPID FOREST!! WHY CAN'T YOU LET ME GET MY SISTERS DOLL BACK!?"

Ron wiped this hand across his knee again, only succeeding in smearing the blood. he grimaced at the pain, then wiped his hand off on his shirt. He then licked his hand and wiped, cleaning most of the dirt away. He blew on the scrape, trying to get it to stop bleeding already. A twig snapped and he looked around, hoping it wasn't something wanting to kill him.

Ron heard the rustle of leaves and looked, then gave a yell and scrambled backward. "THE HECK IS THAT???" he yelled, thinking the doll was possessed or something.

Ron's head jerked up at the sound of the girl's voice and he scrambled to his feet. "Why did--" He took a couple steps back when he saw the bestial. "Why.... why did it take it?" he asked in a much quieter voice, his eyes still on the bestial.

Laria returned to camp, not seeing Ainalani. She narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth, letting out the screech of a bird of prey. The sound ricocheted through the trees, a call for the younger girl to come. Now.
