Blazingstar padded through the strange areas of the twolegplace. He was going out on a mini adventure and this happened to be where his paws led him. Soon enough, the ginger tom would know just why his paws led him there. It was destiny to say it simply. It also gave him a chance to think to himself and enjoy the surroundings, however he was not liking being around dog-scent. Everyone knew all too well how he'd stay away from Thunderpaths now too. Blazingstar would never get near another one in his life and for a good reason too. That was a story all in itself though. As he cautiously padded along a tree line, he allowed his gaze to scan the area, perhaps for other cats? Perhaps it was simply to keep himself safe.

A kit squealed as a harsh wind moved her small, frail body. However, there was something wrong with her that would not allow the tiny feline to move. A birth deformity had taken her back to legs. The curled up image of the legs were a gruesome sight for any normal cat. That must have been the reason that this kit's parents did not want her. That must be the reason why she was here at this moment. The orange tabby she-kit blinked at the world around her. She was no more than three moons old, may be two. Tall grass covered her up from the world. Was this suppose to be her destiny, to die in the harsh world? May be a stray dog would come and end her life quicker. However, the little female did not seem to know that her mother was trying to protect her not kill her. There are other cats out there. Her mother thought before placing the soft bundle of fur on the ground. "They will come and get you. I don't wish to see you die," she whispered to her youngest born kit. The kit did not understand her words at the time only that she felt alone now. She wanted to run back home, but that was impossible. Therefore, she lay there for her demise or salvation.

Upon walking the tree line, Blazingstar was taken aback by a sudden squeal from the grasses nearby. From where he was standing, he could not see the small kit laying among it. So, with all his instinct in tact, he cautiously approached the direction of the squeal, his ears pricked for any other noises and his body was tense in case this was some sort of trap. As he drew closer and closer, he finally caught a wiff of kitten. Kitten? His body relaxed a little bit at the realization, however he still crept towards the kit until he could finally see her small frame. Golden hues widening for a moment, he stood straight up and lost all caution like the wind swept it away. Now he approached the kitten calmly, until he was practically standing over her. "Hel... Hello?" he inquired, wondering whether she'd react like an older kitten or one that couldn't comprehend the world around them. He wasn't sure of the kitten's age, but he could smell the sickness on her. She was weak for sure and easy prey for one of the twoleg dogs or possibly a fox that could be roaming nearby.

Shivering with fear, the tiny kit lay there with only hope that whatever was coming her way was not a predator. She relaxed a little when a large feline stood over her blocking her rays of sun. The no name kit tilted her head slightly at the male. Her baby-blue orbs attempting to comprehend what she was seeing. However, when the larger cat spoke, she curled back up and put her paws over her eyes. She was a very shy and insecure kitten, so she barely spoke. Moving one little paw away, she peeked back up at him, but she only twitched her nose, then licked it. Some other cat would consider her a mute, but this was not the case. She just didn't have a reason to speak or was to shy to.

Blazingstar's ears pricked up at her small paw movements. At least she was moving. He leaned over and sniffed the kitten, accidentally tapping his pink nose to her forehead in he process. The little tap made him flinch and it was apparent when his head jolted backwards in a very sudden movement. It was fine after that though and simply continued studying the kit for a moment. Slowly, he started circling her before he sat down where he was previously. She was very small, very frail looking and it was concerning. He felt the need to take her to Surgestorm as fast as he could. Slowly, he wrapped the kitten up in his unusually long, fluff tail, hiding her from the world momentarily as his golden hues darted around. He was looking for a mother that would never return. After a few heartbeats, his tail unraveled a little to allow her head to poke out. You could say Blazingstar was getting a fatherly protective feeling within him as the realization she was abandoned hit. "Where are your family?" he asked again, hoping to find out she could talk.

The little she-kit kept her eyes on the rather large tom. When he bent down and touched his nose to her forehead, she was surprised, but he then flinched away like everyone else did. She frowned for a second before he wrapped his tail around her. The kitten twitched her nose as she poked her head out of his fluffy tail. Family... he had mentioned her family. What was family? She looked up and tilted her head to one side contemplating on the response. "F..." she began to stammer, "a..mi..l..y?" she asked in a weak voice. This was he way of saying she had no family or really anyone who cared about her. She now lay there in his fluff, looking up at him with wide, curious eyes. He was the first cat to actually look at her without flinching.

Blazingstar's ears twitched at her words. No family then. That was changing things quickly. Perhaps it was time he took her to Windclan then? Find a queen to take the kitten in. By the looks of it, it appeared she couldn't go get prey herself, unless she was still suckling. If that was the case, it was more critical he took her back to camp. The clan would understand the reasoning for taking in an outside kitten, right? They had to. He had welcomed Dusk Syndicate cats for Starclan's sake. What's the worse that could happen with a kitten? Especially a young one like this. "What's your name?" he asked instead, his gaze averting momentarily to look at their surroundings. Blazingstar still didn't like being around this area. He made him uneasy and he simply wanted to leave, go back to camp where he knew they were safe.
